Previous owners inscription dated 1812. There are 10 chapters and 3 appendices: Middle Lobe, enlargement, stages, effects, on the secretion of the gland, effects on the bladder, disposition of the disease, effects on the secretion of urine, suppression, mode of treatment, enlargement of the middle lobe of the prostrate gland, cases on treatment, cases on degrees of enlargement, effect of injections, enlargement of the lateral lobes, inflammation of the verumontanum, abcess in the prostrate gland and ulcers. Everard Home (1756-1832) was Serjeant Surgeon to the King and surgeon at St Georges Hospital. This book may have been written to co-incide with lectures he did in 1810.
