From 7th July - 1st September 1999 Taratantara, was the first installation and formed the definitive vision for the Baltic Arts Centre - a symbiosis of art and architecture and a statement of intent for the re-purposing of the Baltic Flour Mill. When the sculpture was dismantled after a second showing in Naples, selected parts of the heavy duty PVC material were cleaned, cut and heat-embossed to become jackets for this UK first edition, limited to 2000 copies. It was an expensive and difficult process, not repeated for later printings or the German and Italian versions of the book.
