VG : in very good condition without dust jacket. Minor rubbing and scuffing to covers.

J Ward - in 1817 - London for the author 1821. Thirty-eight plates present throughout the volumes though pagination and numbering is inconsistent. James Sowerby (1757 – 1822) an English naturalist, illustrator and mineralogist. Contributions to published works, such as A Specimen of the Botany of New Holland or English Botany, include his detailed plates. The use of vivid colour and accessible texts were intended to reach a widening audience in works of natural history.
