Rare first state first edition, (the words "Wycliffe, 1791" are missing from the figure of the sea eagle on p. 11 of Volume I).With scarce half title to volume I. Published in two parts (1797 vol I; 1804 vol. II), the first deals with land birds, the second with water birds. The 1797 volume was published by Hodgson for Beilby and Bewick; the second 1804 volume published by Edward Walker.
